Ok, ok, so this one is PINK, but still full of veggies if not leafy greens. It looks as good as it tastes, and it’s loaded with fiber, vitamins and minerals that will help your kids stay full and stay focused all morning long.
Make this delicious smoothie for breakfast for your kids every day, and you may find your whole family suddenly looks forward to brighter mornings! Check out the video tutorial on the recipe for Hot Pink Smoothie.

Easy Green Smoothie Recipe #2:
Turning Green Smoothie
Taste and texture are often deal breakers for kids, but this green smoothie overcomes both with a triple fruit punch of grapes, pineapple, and banana. The sweetness of the fruit will make this smoothie appealing to many kids, and the banana and pineapple help to give it a thicker texture, more along the lines of a milkshake rather than a basic green juice. Video tutorial for this recipe is here.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 ½ cups water and ice
- 3 handfuls spinach
- 2 large kale leaves
- 1 cup green grapes
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- 1 banana
- 1 scoop vanilla or unflavored protein powder (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Combine the ice, spinach, and kale in a blender, and blend until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and blend again. Serve cold.
Easy Green Smoothie Recipe #3:
Berry Nutty Green Smoothie
The addition of almonds to this berry green smoothie is sure to make your kids go nuts! If your kids get a kick out of crunchiness, add the almonds after you’ve blended the other ingredients and pulse them just until they’re broken into small pieces.
Then, demonstrate how this Berry Nutty Green Smoothie is just as “chewable” as it is sip-able. It’s a creative way to get your family to “eat” their greens! Watch the video tutorial for this recipe here.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup almond milk
- 3 handfuls spinach
- ½ cup frozen blueberries
- ½ cup frozen strawberries
- 1 banana
- ¼ cup almonds
- 1 scoop vanilla or unflavored protein powder (optional)
- 1 Tbsp GreenSmoothieGirl Sprouted Ground Flax (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Combine the almond milk and spinach in a blender, and blend until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and blend again. Serve cold.
East Green Smoothie Recipe #4:
Ultimate Green Smoothie
This is the green smoothie recipe I nearly always use! Have some fun with it by experimenting with different kinds of berries to create different flavors and colors.
I always adjust it based on what’s in my fridge or what’s in season, adding blueberries and strawberries in the summer or raspberries and blackberries late into the fall. You can even take your kids on a farmer’s market scavenger hunt to find more obscure berries – like loganberries, marionberries, or vibrant pink salmonberries!
Of course, frozen berries will also work in this recipe, making the Ultimate Green Smoothie truly live up to its name. The video tutorial is on the Ultimate Green Smoothie recipe page.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 ½ cups water and ice
- 3 handfuls spinach
- 2 large kale leaves
- 2 cups mixed berries
- 1 banana
- 1 scoop protein powder (optional)
- 2 Tbsp GreenSmoothieGirl Sprouted Ground Flax (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Combine the water, ice, spinach, and kale in a blender, and blend until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and blend again. Serve cold.
Easy Green Smoothie Recipe #5:
Tart Berry Blast Green Smoothie
This may be called the Tart Berry Blast Green Smoothie, but the cranberry juice and pomegranate in this smoothie lay the base for a vibrant red hue. You can intensify that by adding raspberries and strawberries to make “blood” for your little vampire – or you can go with blueberries for a more purple shade you can serve as “brains” for your little zombie. For even more fun, make an extra batch to freeze in fun-shaped ice cubes molds (like eyeballs or hearts), add them to the smoothie before serving, and watch your kids squeal with delight. Preview how easy it is to make in this video tutorial.
INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup cranberry juice
- ½ cup ice
- 5 large kale leaves
- 2 cups mixed berries
- 1 orange
- 1 apple
- ¼ cup pomegranate
DIRECTIONS
Combine the cranberry juice, ice, and kale in a blender, and blend until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and blend again. Serve cold.

Easy Green Smoothie Recipe #10:
Lucky Green Smoothie
One of the best ways to get your kids excited about drinking green smoothies is to let them get in on the fun of making them. That’s easy with this recipe thanks to the addition of green grapes.
