Ultimate Green Smoothie | GreenSmoothieGirl
This is the Ultimate Green Smoothie recipe I nearly always use! It’s endlessly adaptable, and the perfect energy booster for a meal replacement or snack. Have some fun with it by experimenting with different kinds of berries to create different flavors and colors–a “green” smoothie doesn’t always turn out green in color! Make sure you watch my how-to video above!
Ultimate Green Smoothie
This green smoothie recipe is endlessly adaptable, and the perfect energy booster for a meal replacement or snack.
- 3 cups water and ice mixture
- 3 large handfuls of spinach
- 2 cups mixed berries fresh or frozen
- 1 banana fresh or frozen
- 1 - 2 servings GreenSmoothieGirl Protein Powder
- 2 TBS GreenSmoothieGirl Sprouted Flax or TriOmega
-
In high-speed blender, blend water, ice, and spinach for 30 seconds.
-
Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
I always adjust the Ultimate Green Smoothie recipe based on what’s in my fridge, or what’s in season. I’m always adding blueberries and strawberries in the summer, or raspberries and blackberries late into the fall. You can even take your kids on a farmer’s market scavenger hunt to find more obscure berries, like loganberries, marionberries, or vibrant pink salmonberries!
I’ve put spinach in this recipe for the greens, because it’s a mild green and great for beginners. But it’s adaptable too–you can use kale, collards, beet greens, or whatever leafy green you have on hand.
I’m a huge fan of our GreenSmoothieGirl Protein Powder, Sprouted Flax, and TriOmega. I love that I can choose which to use anytime I make this recipe. It’s always a delight to try them out with new flavors I’ve created with my Ultimate Green Smoothie recipe alterations. I haven’t had a bad batch yet!
