Ultimate Green Smoothie

Featured Video Play Icon

This is the Ultimate Green Smoothie recipe I nearly always use! It’s endlessly adaptable, and the perfect energy booster for a meal replacement or snack. Have some fun with it by experimenting with different kinds of berries to create different flavors and colors–a “green” smoothie doesn’t always turn out green in color!

I always adjust this recipe based on what’s in my fridge, or what’s in season. I’m always adding blueberries and strawberries in the summer, or raspberries and blackberries late into the fall. You can even take your kids on a farmer’s market scavenger hunt to find more obscure berries, like loganberries, marionberries, or vibrant pink salmonberries!

I’ve put spinach in this recipe for the greens, because it’s a mild green and great for beginners. But it’s adaptable too–you can use kale, collards, beet greens, or whatever leafy green you have on hand.
