What’s in YOUR fridge? Runners up! Part 5 of 5
Susan Sorenson of Westminster, CO has another great “runner-up” fridge. Her husband’s cholesterol was high and rising, monitored by the cardiologist. Her husband said he couldn’t give up meat, but Susan packed her fridge and said, “We’re doing this for a few months,” He now says, after his cholesterol dropped significantly, that he doesn’t desire to eat meat on a regular basis, and they rarely do. Exciting that cravings can decrease or go away!
Since Susan found GreenSmoothieGirl.com last October, they’ve been drinking at least a quart a day ever since. Susan’s 32-yo son used to make fun, but now comes over and asks for green smoothies! This stocked fridge inspired Susan’s daughter to exclaim, “HOLY PRODUCE!”
Here’s what’s in it:
Aloe vera juice, hemp hearts, salsa, Mt. Olive pickles, ground flax seeds, ground chia seeds, watermelon, brown rice couscous, eggs. In the “meat drawer” are strawberries, green and black grapes, and hummus. Then there are cantaloupes, golden beets with greens, chard, kale, a quart of green smoothie, garlic, cauliflower, wheat tortillas. In the veggie drawer: all the salad fixings including lettuce and spinach. In the fruit drawer: grapefruit, orange, pears, nectarines, lemons, and apples.
Thanks for sharing, Susan!
Last but not least, Tiffany Feil of Houston, TX deserves an honorable mention here. She has four children and is working to resolve some health problems. When she went on vacation with her family and her parents, this is what they stocked the fridge with. She said they ate every bit of it and felt so great at the end of the vacation. (How do you feel at the end of yours? Something to think about.)
