ideas from readers, part 2 of 3

I often hear about people falling off the wagon, after a period of having tremendous results with their 15 servings of raw greens and fruit daily (what you get in the quart of green smoothie daily that I recommend).

It happens. Shall we problem solve, so it happens less often?

Thursday after tennis I ran to Supersonic to get my car washed. While I was waiting, two women rushed up and said, “GREEN SMOOTHIE GIRL!” (They didn’t know my actual name–this happens a lot, and I think it’s funny!)

Turns out they have a really unique and cool arrangement. They are best friends: Karri is single and lives alone, and Bo is married with kids. Karri has more time but less money, and Bo has more money and less time. Karri makes green smoothies for Bo and her husband every day since she doesn’t need the whole blenderful. I think Bo pays for the ingredients. Win-win for everybody.

I like it. If you’re struggling with something–time, money, whatever–there’s always a way. It’s just about getting creative and being dogged about creating a habit. Don’t give up!

Oh, and I am glad to meet new people in the revolution. The whole-foods revolution, kicking the S.A.D. to the curb. Love it when you come up and make friends with me–I’m going up to Strawberry to look at Bo’s cabin and see about getting land to build a cabin for retreats! Wouldn’t that be fun?

I had great success the first three weeks – lost 9 pounds and the migraines just disappeared. Then I started feeling really weak and my stomach hurt often. Then I got a cold. It can be hard to get started again once the routine is broken, but I did and I’m glad. I’ve been raw-food for three months, GS for two of those, and today at work someone told me ‘Your hair is getting redder!’ It was red until my 40’s when it turned almost brown, with some grey mixed in. I thought my natural bright color was returning, but thought it might be my imagination, so that was great o hear from someone else. The age spots on my hands are much lighter, and the weight is coming off again. No matter how many tiems I fall off this wagon (and I don’t think it will be often!) I will always get right back on – it’s so worth it.

Hi, I love your site. I was just given a Blend tek for Mother’s day and I love it. I christened it with a Green Smoothie.

I have a friend that has a wonderful cabin up by Oakley/Kamas area and she is selling it with all the furnishings. Her husband is getting too old to go up there. And her daughter is selling her lot right next to it that isn’t even built on yet. So if you are interested, please email me.

We have visited the cabin many times, and it is so wonderful, I wish that I could afford it. I will miss it dearly when she sells it.

It is the same exit that you take to go to Smith-morehouse.

    Thanks so much,

Hey Robin, I want a cabin that will be big enough for a retreat / family reunion, that has a lake by it for boating / fishing, has tons of trees all around the cabin, AND is within 1.5 hours. (I know Oakley/Kamas fits the bill on the last thing, but I don’t know about the first three!)
