How to skin brush

Have you always wanted to know how, exactly, you’re supposed to be skin brushing? Brandi at Oasis of Healing knows the lymphatic system and explained that all to us, resulting in this chart and video. She’s a former E.R. nurse who now does lymphatic drainage therapy fulltime. Dr. Lodi raves about the benefits he sees from this.

You can get that printable skin brushing chart, free–it’s full color!

I would love to have a diagram to put in my bathroom. Any chance you will have one showing these strokes?

I have been body brushing for a couple years now (I think) and just found out that I have been doing it vastly wrong. Thanks for this video.

This was a great post. Do you believe juicing has the same advantages as our green smoothies? I know you recently bought a juicer. What features should I look for in a juicer?

    Thanks,

    Pam

    1. Robyn Openshaw says:

Pam, juicing is very concentrated nutrition. Great against cancer. I don’t teach it to the masses because, put simply, the masses won’t do it. A green smoothie is MUCH faster to make, with no mess, and you don’t throw the fiber away. (It’s also much less expensive—a half gallon of vegetable juice comes from quite a few pounds of vegetables.) The best juicers are very expensive: two-stage juicers where first the pulp is ground, then pressed. It’s highly efficient and causes no heat damage. However, if $2500 for a Norwalk isn’t in your budget, a $400 Champion is still wonderful.

Hey Robyn! I couldn’t get the vido. It was just a black screen that came up. Hmm?

    Thanks for all you do!

Do you brush your face or head?

    1. Robyn Openshaw says:

Tara, brush the front and back of your neck. Not your face.

Thanks for the video. This is very interesting. I can’t tell from the video what type of bristles are on the brush. Are they super stiff? soft? Does it matter? Also, is it just a light sweeping motion? Do you apply much pressure?

    Robyn,

I’m excited to learn and begin another healthy habit that you and Brandi taught. Just wondering though, is this something you should try and do everyday or just a few times a week or what? Also how soon till the group wholesale buy on the saunas? (You are doing one right?) I’m just really excited about these things cause I have terrible skin (and this cold Utah weather doesn’t help at all) and I’m grateful to be learning new ways to help this amazing organ of my body. Thanks again for all you keep teaching and sharing with us.

    Hey Robyn,

Thank you for this fabulous information. Also, when brushing the neck do we brush up or down?

    Thanks again.

Thank you so much, Robyn and Brandi! Fascinating interview. I’ve never heard of brushing this way – I’ve been doing it very wrong. Woops! ha! So grateful for your sharing all of this info. xx

Awesome video! Thank you so much for posting this!

Dear Robyn, Thanks for this very educational video on skin brushing. As most folks out there, it seems I have been doing it wrong way. It’s completely different to what most people teach us. I presume that the back shoulder’s part would be brushed up over the shoulder to collar bone? Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Wonderful info. Like the first commenter, Andrea, a diagram/information chart would be very beneficial–is there one Brandi has for consumer purchase? Thank you both for this video!
