is this recommended and safe for someone with fibromyalgia?
Detoxification, in general, is recommended to release huge loads of built-up toxic barriers within the body (stored in fat cells) and draining the lymphatic system is a huge, important part of human detixification. In a word, yes, we do recommend gentle dry skin brushing for most people.
Robyn, I notice that this video instruction about dry brushing is different from your instruction chart and other videos you have on dry brushing. Which is the most correct?
I think both are very similar and everyone’s approach is going to vary based on their interpretation of the chart. We encourage folks to use our handy chart, keeping it in their bathroom along with their dry skin brush in a handy place to reach for it daily or several times a week to drain their lymphatic systems and more.
I have Polycythemia Vera and was wondering how the skin brushing would help this. When I just rub my skin it just burns like fire… but that is an affect of the disease. I have to go every few weeks and have an pint of blood took from my veins. I don’t have circulation of my blood very well.
Hi Audrey, not sure if the skin brushing is damaging with Polycythemia. I would ask your dermatologist or healthcare practitioner to see if skin brushing is an option for you.
