Have Any of You Seen “Food, Inc.” Yet?
Have any of you seen Food, Inc. yet? I haven’t, but plan to. Here’s a review in the Deseret News for those of us here on the Wasatch Front. It’s showing in one or two theaters in Salt Lake Valley, and elsewhere in the U.S. Fans of food expose authors Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation, etc.) and Michael Pollan (In Defense of Food, The Omnivore’s Dilemma, etc.), and anyone concerned about what has happened to food in the modern age, should find this enlightening. Those of you who have seen it, your thoughts, please?

Everyone should see this film. It will absolutely blow your mind how much control a few companies have over most of our food system. Importantly, it addresses not only the potential health and environmental concerns, but also the ramifications that this system is having on farmers and communities. It will challenge your thinking on the cost of food.
You should be prepared to be motivated to grow your own and eat more locally and lower on the food chain. If you eat before seeing it I highly recommend sticking with a vegetarian dish!
I read its coming out on DVD in November.
I loved this movie. It shows who has the power over our food, and gives a simple means to make it change: Stop eating food that is overprocessed and controlled and start asking for the healthy organic kinds. The consumer rules!
Robyn, do you live in SLC? I am a new raw food consumer and can’t find any recources here in Utah. Please email me.
