The Most Fun Investment In My Preparedness and Nutrition, Ever!

Lettuce Grow

I have been gardening INDOORS for just over a year now. It’s changed my life, and I wish I’d discovered it sooner!

To watch this instead of reading it, check out my 7-minute video.

Here’s what you’ll discover in this article:

Why Grow Your Own Food? Our Food Options at Grocery Stores Are Changing

International trade is changing. Our North American countries are at odds with many of our longtime trading partners.

Stores large and small, even Walmart's, are going out of business, and many more are projected to close in the next few years.

Over 13,000 retail locations of LARGE American companies closed in the first 4 months of this year.

I know it’s been our experience that there are thousands of options in every grocery store near us.

But that’s been the case for only two generations. We’ve become very dependent, and now’s a great time to think about how we can provide our own healthy, clean, fresh food.

Turns out, we can do it right inside, very easily.

My Favorite Way to Grow Healthy Food in My Home

I have a beautiful Farmstand right between my dining area and living room! (Keep reading, and I’ll tell you more about it.)

Luckily, that doesn’t involve going back to subsistence farming or committing to an hour a day with a hoe, and another hour on your knees weeding!

(Been there. Done that. One of my chores as a kid was pulling 500 weeds every morning and then showing them to my mom.)

Why Grow Your Own Food? Less Nutrition in the Supply Chain

There’s little nutrition in the food we get that’s been in the supply chain – with produce, it’s sometimes months before you eat it –

– and with the widespread use of insecticides, pesticides, and now preservatives, some of our fruits and vegetables are coated in, or gassed with.

The Apeel coating being sprayed on produce is new. But my grandparents owned The Romney Produce Company, and they gassed “green” fruits to ripen them and dipped apples and citrus in wax/shellac before I was born!

It’s not that they wanted to. It’s that if you didn’t, people would buy the other vendor’s shinier apple.)

And that water sprayed out of nozzles in the produce section at the grocery store, to keep food fresh as long as possible? It’s not just water – toxic chemicals are added to it.

So if we’ve all seen shortages, and more are projected. If we’re concerned about the quality of the food we buy –

– we should take more control over our food.

My Experience Being A Gardener

I have gardened my whole life since I was a little girl.

Including attempting during the lockdown in 2020, in Park City, where just as everything fruited, it froze!

(A ski town. I guess I didn’t think that through very well. I should have–I never saw anyone else with a garden in the 4 years I lived there!)

And in Florida, where it hits 100 degrees by June. I had no idea such a variety of bugs could live in ONE place – I’ve been gardening in the 10-month growing season for three years now. Well, trying.

I loved that as a gardener, (even though I’m not a great one, I’m really neglectful, and I have had a lot of failures), my kids understand where food comes from.

We didn’t even have grocery stores until 1948, so even though it’s been our lived experience to have everything we need within a few miles –

– our future might look different.

I wish I’d figured out earlier that I could be picking perfect produce right off the plant, just a few feet from where I’m preparing it in the kitchen!

Where I can be eating the kale, basil, or spinach – 10 minutes after it was actively growing!

And where as soon as the crop is harvested, I’ve got more growing right behind it. Ready to harvest every few weeks!

10 Reasons to Choose the Farmstand to Grow Food Indoors

Lettuce Grow Farmstand - grow your own food

The Lettuce Grow Farmstand is beautiful – and easy to use, to grow your own healthy food in your home!

Using this aeroponic method of growing indoors, you can expect these advantages:

  • You can use 98% less water
  • You can use 90% less space, versus growing the same amount of food in soil
  • You can get an average 30% better yield
  • You can grow up to 3x faster than outdoor soil gardens
  • You can grow without the fallout of chemtrails being on our plants
  • Achieve equivalent nutrient density
  • You’ll avoid herbicides, like Roundup
  • You can grow up to 6 crops annually, back to back, no “soil amending” needed
  • It’s easy for seniors and children, and there’s no work needed on your hands and knees
  • It’s perfect for people living in apartments, condos, or with a restrictive HOA

The Farmstand uses similar nitrogen fertilizers as farmers, so I still recommend you take our Ultimate Minerals every day to cover the difference.

My Farmstand Experience – It’s Fun!

Here’s my Farmstand, right between my dining room and living room.

If I set it to keep the lights on all night, it’s also a great crime deterrent!

Lettuce Grow Farmstands are easy and so fun! They get the kids involved, and they help you achieve more control of your nutrient-dense food supply.

I call it my Green Smoothie Tower!

Blend a smoothie that was just growing minutes earlier – and be prepared to feel AMAZING for hours!

It might be my best investment yet, to increase our nutrition and also be prepared.

Plus, it’s eco-friendly, it helps you take huge steps towards self-sufficiency, and it can help take your nutrition through the roof.

I don’t grow vining vegetables indoors on my Farmstand, though you can grow some limited varieties, if you take a few extra steps. I grow mostly greens and herbs.

Using the Farmstand Is So Easy, Too!

My video shows how easy it is to set up, plant new seedlings, and maintain!

We had another brand before the Farmstand, and that one took John several hours over two days, and there was a lot of swearing involved.

So, he loved that the Farmstand was super easy, up and running in only 30 minutes! With our first set of seedlings in the Farmstand growing!

You can just order the seedlings – all the plants to fill my large unit were $107 when I recorded this. Or you could also start them yourself, from seed, to save money.

The 7-minute video shows how easy it is to put them in the Farmstand. The seedlings have always arrived in great shape. I’ve never had a single seedling die in a year.

Whether you do it yourself from seed or buy the seedlings will depend on whether you have more time or money.

I’ve been in both situations at different times in my life. It’s great to learn how to start your plants from seed and have some heirloom seeds on hand.

3 Ideas to Eat All the Greens You’ll Grow

Don’t think you can eat all the greens?

  • I bet you can with green smoothies! Up your nutrition game! Not nearly 1 in 10 Americans eats enough greens.
  • A green smoothie or big salad makes a great gift for someone you love who wants better health.
  • Stuff your greens in a Ziploc, suck the air out, and it won’t take up much space in the freezer! (You can’t freeze greens for a salad, but you can, for a smoothie!)
