Coming Out of the (McDonald’s) Closet, Part 2

Well, it’s a fact, I was a McDonald’s employee, and here’s a photo to prove it, circa 1984, Springfield, Virginia–orangey polyester and all. Don’t I look enthusiastic?

Thanks, Chuck, for reviving one of my ugliest (in more ways than one) secrets.

I can honestly say that I have not eaten a meal at McDonald’s since I quit working there in 1985!

does the Gooey Chewy Caramel Corn from your holiday collections recipe really have 1 TABLESPOON of salt? we made it tonight for FHE and it was “OFF” pretty sure it’s the salt–was it supposed to be 1 tsp? (or maybe it’s just the taste of the molasses? I dunno) comments appreciated–thanks. (p.s. the texture was perfect if I could get the taste right)

ha ha Robyn, that’s funny! FWIW, I worked at Dunkin’ Donuts, and my uniform was PINK!

HA-HA! I had that same hairdo in 84! Fortunately, not the same uniform. Gotta love that Farrah Fawcett look, though! 😉

awww — look how cute you are! Is that google eyes you’re giving Chuck? That could be another blackmail. 😉 lol

Seriously – that’s an amazing testimony that you haven’t eaten at McDonald’s since then! Ygg!

    I love that- that’s hilarious!

  7. Hey, Robyn, don’t knock McDonald’s, part of your self-development history. Many a student, you included, learned how to work and more importantly, how to be organized and efficient, at McDonald’s. My kids worked there. I’m semi-retired now. I may have to work at McDonald’s to augment my small budget, eh? Blessings, Doc Meek, Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada, Dec 16, 2009

  8. P.S. McDonald’s do have some good salads I think. And “real” orange juice and apple juice. That beats chips and soda pop, eh? :o) Blessings, Doc

  9. p.s.s. I even eat McDonald’s “Filet O Fish” in a pinch. Strip the fried “covering” off, I do, like a good lad, and eat the “bare” fish. Not totally perfect. Good when you’re
starving late at night, eh? Love and Hugs, Doc

Says more about Chuck, than it does about you that he thinks people would even care about what you did in the 1980’s.

Oh, haha, Chuck was just teasing me. And I don’t really care that I’m being “outed”–it’s all just for a laugh. 🙂
