I hate diets. I mean, I really hate them.

The suffering. The deprivation. The obsession over portion size, calories, macronutrient ratio.

I don’t love diets, because they’re all about deprivation. But oh boy, I’m so excited about what I’m going to send you in a couple of days. My focus is always on health, and on optimizing your body’s functioning. Weight loss is a natural consequence, but not the focus.

(I’d much rather detox, than diet!) And wow, the GreenSmoothieGirl team has huddled the past 2 weeks, to bring you something REALLY COOL.

Stay tuned! Meantime, here’s a new video I did for you sharing 5 things I’ve discovered, that aren’t dieting, that truly do lead to weight loss.

Over and over, studies show people gain back MORE than they lost in extended, calorie-deprived diets. When you start a new diet, you assure yourself that WILLPOWER will keep you out of that statistic.

In this new video, here are my 5 best tips for how to lose weight without the deprivation, obsession, and backfire. I hope it’s helpful to you!

I tried to order BUT was informed do not ship to Australia – can this happen as I would love to buy & do the detox.

so #5 says to eat three a meals a day, but you’re advertising your 3 day detox as a plan with 6 mini meals a day. this is conflicting advice, no?

    1. Robyn says:

ha. hey ashleigh, good point, but the 3-day detox is a very, very small shake—and actually when I tested it myself, i had 3 meals a day. I put the superfoods mini-meal together with the protein mini-meal and had it breakfast, lunch, dinner. but in the detox, you’re still accomplishing the purpose of really resting digestion, because you’re getting clean plant proteins (48 grams in your day) and ONLY raw, organic, plant-based food. but yes, over a lifetime, i think 3 meals a day is best. i still eat a snack sometimes, because i’m an athlete and work out more than the average person…..and my meals are so high-fiber that sometimes i’m FULL after a quart of green smoothie and an almond bar, or whatever my meal is. but then it’s low-cal enough that i don’t make it till dinner with a snack. it’s a rule of thumb more than a law, you know? my point is, i don’t agree with the fitness-trainer fad of telling people to eat constantly, 6 meals a day.

ok, thanks for the response! for me, the only way i’ve ever lost weight is a low calorie diet of 5-6 meals a day. and i felt better overall too. do you think that eating so often compromises the digestive system?

Robyn, is it okay to use alkaline water with the 3 day detox?

    1. Robyn says:

yes, it’s great! and helpful for detoxing!

    Thank you!!

  5. There are no magic foods. Some foods may help you suppress your appetite a little. Some other foods may slightly increase your metabolic rate. Unfortunately, the effect is miniscule. The only way to really lose fat is to consume fewer calories than you burn. This way your body will tap into the fat stores to get the energy it needs.

my internet connection is the pitts. Is there a transcript of the video? I live in the middle of nowhere and the vidoes buffer so much that they will often restart over and over again.
