{VIDEO} How to Change Your Weight “Set Point” Forever

Detox to modify your weight set point

Have you struggled with your body’s “set point?”

That is, the approximately 5-pound weight range that your body wants to stay in. Which may seem, to you, like it’s higher than it should be.

Maybe you feel that there’s just this certain amount of fat that sticks around…no matter what you eat, and no matter how regularly you work out. Sound familiar? Let me explain.Detox to modify your weight set point

This weight “set point” is especially applicable to women, since it varies more than it does for men due to hormone fluctuations. And, put bluntly, it’s harder for women to lose weight, especially around the middle, than it is for men.

Detox to modify your weight set pointWomen’s bodies hoard fat at a weight we may consider, in the modern age where thinness is valued, above our “ideal weight.”

You’ve probably read that cortisol is partly to blame. That’s the “stress hormone.” But let’s discuss another reason you may not be aware of. Fat cells have an important function: they trap toxins, and keep them safely out of important organs like kidneys, heart, and liver.

The more meat, processed food, and chemical medications we’ve used, over the years, the higher the “toxic body burden,” or the differential between the chemicals we’ve ingested, and our ability to eliminate them.

I bet you’ve never taken a moment to appreciate your fat reserves, right? That would be appropriate right about now! However, I know what you’re saying: “Great, but how can I “fire” my fat stores from the job they’re doing?”

An evolutionary adaptation for women includes the body’s tendency to hoard fat that surround the reproductive organs. In other words, everything in your biology, even your fat reserves, wants to make sure that you can reproduce. And, other factors lead to ongoing fat-hoarding, even after your reproductive years. By then, decades of the Standard American Diet, and dieting, and a high toxic body burden, lead to a more difficult time losing weight.

Metabolism set point theory is complicated, involving interactions between the nervous system, brain, and fat cells.

Many of us have a set point we would love to lower! It is not particularly easy, but it is possible. And it doesn’t happen with a calorie-reduction diet.

I changed my set point from 144 lbs. to 137 lbs. many years ago and stayed there.

But I didn’t do it with a diet. You are probably aware of the avalanche of data that diets don’t work. They backfire, because putting the body repeatedly into strange metabolic states (ketogenesis, calorie restriction, etc.) result in regaining the weight, virtually always, and sometimes more.

Plus, there is long-term potential damage to the metabolic system, and when people diet chronically, over time, the body hoards fat even more vigilantly.

And then there’s the emotional toll: it’s demoralizing to put a death grip on your diet for a month, lose 15 pounds, and everyone’s telling you how great you look. And then you gain it back in 3 weeks.

Not to mention, processed diet foods on the market add to the toxic load in the body. And that’s the whole point here. The body is hoarding fat, because that fat (very importantly!) holds the hundreds of food, water, air, cosmetic and other toxins…think of the steroids and antibiotics in the meat you eat, the pesticides and herbicides in most of your food…then key to losing weight permanently is…

…giving your fat stores a “pink slip.” Why does anyone get laid off from their job? Because there’s no job for them to do any more.

When you release lots of garbage from your cells, a disproportionate amount of toxicity is leaving fat stores. Spend an entire 26 days cleansing the cells, and optimizing the organs of elimination….and don’t be surprised if a shocking amount of weight melts off, even while you’re eating lots of food. And, that weight loss is virtually all fat stores disappearing. And, it’s unlikely to come back, if you keep your diet reasonably clean.

I’ve made a video masterclass, to teach you about the 7 toxicities in your body, and how to release them.

Why detoxing has far more benefits than dieting does, including the ability to change your weight set point. What 8 foods are highly detoxifying, and equally importantly, which 11 food types caused the toxicity in the first place.

I want to share with you why detoxing optimizes hormone function, as well as decreases inflammation and overall disease risk.

I learned some of the most powerful detoxification practices from four researchers and clinicians who have done more than any others, in my worldwide research on how the body “cleans house” optimally, and how we can stay well in an increasingly toxic world.

I’ve led 8,000 people through a 26-day program, and our participants lose an average of 12.5 pounds in 26 days—and it’s mostly fat they’re releasing, not to mention toxins that don’t belong in the human body, and get in the way of optimal health.

Kim, from Michigan, had tried plenty of solutions to help her lose weight and battle some serious gut issues, but nothing seemed to work. Detoxing with us helped her do more for her body in a few weeks than she’s been able to do in years of diets, doctor visits, and cleanses.

She was tired of dealing with her painful bloating, hot flashes, and peri-menopause symptoms, but 26 days of eating the right foods, skipping the wrong foods, and doing some simple optimization practices daily achieved some exciting results far beyond weight loss.

“Going into the GreenSmoothieGirl Detox, I had been dealing with SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) for a year and a half. I had been super bloated with painful gas and diarrhea. I had done a lemonade cleanse, a parasite cleanse, and more–all to no avail.

My meat-based standard American diet had given me Multiple Sclerosis, fibroids, a thyroid cyst, and a difficult peri-menopause. Hot flashes woke me up every night, and I was carrying around an extra 10-15 pounds.

I really didn’t expect this detox to address my problems, but I was wrong. It did! I stayed true to the detox plan. By the end of the second week I noticed my bloating was gone and my explosive, painful gas had subsided. I am so thrilled. I have been working on this for over a year and a half!

I also noticed that my hot flashes are greatly reduced. Some nights I even sleep through the night. My MS has been stable, and I noticed a reduction in the few symptoms that I did have.

I lost six pounds, which is a lot for 5’6″. My current weight of 140 is pretty close to where I wanted to be, but I am looking forward to completing another detox and work on a new set point of 135, and possibly eventually 130.

I purchased the Full-Support Lifetime Membership. The program was so thoroughly thought through and presented. I really couldn’t believe how well done it is. The recipes, the photos, the shopping lists, everything was covered.

The part I liked best was having the online Facebook support. I learned the most from that. I plan on making detoxing a regular part of my life. With the help of this plan, all my goals are within reach!”

It only took Kim a week or two of detoxing to feel remarkable positive effects.

Norma is a 63-year-old woman with a long history of yo-yo dieting and chronic health issues. She decided to take a step away from dieting and detox, instead, with some incredible results.

“I am 63 years old and have struggled with my weight for several years. I have tried several other methods of weight loss and while they often work at first, I have always gained the weight back, and then some.

I have also dealt with chronic health issues which have ended up with surgery, including gallbladder, hysterectomy, sinus, and other types of surgery.

Then, in November of 2016 I got shingles. It came with no warning and hit me very, very hard. The pain from it was indescribable, and it lasted for 6 weeks. When it finally left, I was in such a weakened state that it was really hard to do just normal daily routine.

I knew that my body needed a cleanse, but my son who is a physician suggested that I had already be traumatized by illness and that doing something different would probably not be a good choice.

About this time I began receiving emails from Robyn Openshaw that talked about the Detox she was going to be leading. Every time I read about it I had the strongest feeling that this would cleanse my body and feed it, and I knew that it was what I needed. So I decided to join the group!

I had some doubts, but I just felt that I should be doing this. I also invited my husband to join me, which he did.

I was interested in every single element of this program and fascinated by the amazing detail that is included in it. It all makes great sense.

I am so glad to be at the end of the 26 days, and I know that I am not finished yet.

But with an 18 pound weight loss behind me, and more that still needs to go, I am motivated to keep using the concepts taught in this program, to keep going.  My husband also lost 18 pounds and he is also moving forward with me.

So with that, I would say that anyone who is motivated to improve their health by making good choices in all of the elements of food choice, preparation and portion sizes.  We must be mindful in all of the ways that we use food to enhance our lives! Thanks to Robyn Openshaw and your staff! You really have it figured out!”

We’ve received almost 500 inspiring stories like this, from our detox alumni. Many of them now join us twice a year.

We love hearing your successes and triumphs so please write us with yours, when you complete the 26 days.

If you relate to Kim and Norma, and you wonder if toxicity could be why you’re sick, and why your body is hoarding fat, I hope you’ll join us in the free video class.

If you decide to take a step beyond, once you’ve learned more about how your body’s organs of elimination work, and why they need help, we’ll fully support you.

I detox twice a year, and I’ve found it to be a lifesaver. Beyond the physical benefits, I always re-discover that my mind and spirit are lighter, when I focus on giving a little TLC to my liver, kidneys, gall bladder, colon, and lymphatic system.

It might just be a revelation, watching these videos, to learn that all these years, that extra weight around the middle just needed permission to take a hike. I hope that you discover that releasing your “dieting” mentality and approach, and adopting a “detoxification first” agenda, just might be a game changer.
