Do you soak the chia seeds before blending them? Thank you!

    1. Hi Jennifer, no you don’t have to soak them, though you can if you want. You may wish to grind them before blending them as well. Hope you enjoy the smoothie!

    2. p. says:

Studies are showing that there might be increased benefits to soaking chia seeds or grinding them. Particularly, some studies have shown that the Omega-3 fatty acids (ALA) in chia seeds might be absorbed much better (as well as some of the protein) after they have been ground or soaked first.

How many calories are in this smoothie. Do you have a list of low calorie smoothies.? (For in between meals) I’m dieting.

  4. Loretta Wise says:

Could raw honey be used as sweetener instead of Steve as a sweetener

    1. p. says:

Stevia is natural, unlike other sugar substitutes. In South America and Asia, people have been using stevia leaves to sweeten drinks like tea for many years.

Website states: Stevia is about 200 to 400 times sweeter than table sugar and is a non-nutritive sweetener, which means it has no carbohydrates, calories, or artificial ingredients.

The picture of your strawberry smoothie sure looks different from the picture of my strawberry smoothie. How do you get it to be so pink with 3 cups of spinach in it? It’s not a bad smoothie, but it doesn’t have a lot of taste to it. The next time I make it I will put chocolate collagen powder in it.
