Berry Nutty Smoothie

The addition of almonds to this berry green smoothie is sure to make your kids go nuts! If your kids get a kick out of crunchiness, add the almonds after you’ve blended the other ingredients and pulse them just until they’re broken into small pieces.

Then, demonstrate how this Berry Nutty Green Smoothie is just as “chewable” as it is sip-able. It’s a creative way to get your family to “eat” their greens!

Course smoothie

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 3 large handfuls spinach or mixed greens
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • ½ cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 banana
  • ¼ cup almonds
  • 1 scoop protein powder any flavor
  • 1 TBS sprouted ground flax (or TriOmega)

  1. In high-speed blender, blend almond milk and greens for 30 seconds. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
