World-Wide Green Smoothie Detox starts Jan. 2!

By Robyn Openshaw, MSW | Dec 22, 2010

How are you holding up against the gingerbread and butter tarts so far?

What about those buttery mashed potatoes and gravy?

Maybe you’ve been avoiding the bowls of salty, roasted cashews and chocolate-covered almonds, but MOST of us end up overeating during the holidays.

Fortunately, January 1st comes quickly and is the ideal time to make new resolutions! While you’re getting healthy, pounds will melt off.

Green Smoothie Queen and Green Smoothie Girl are co-hosting a 21-Day Green Smoothie Detox!

And we’re kicking it off Jan. 2, 2011. Tera’s doing the first teleseminar, and I’m doing the last!

Check it out HERE.

This is not your average detox.

We’ll set our resolutions for the year together, and support one another in putting some healthy new habits in place for the first four weeks of the year!

…the best part is that you can INVITE A GUEST TO JOIN YOU FOR FREE!

We’re doing that because people succeed far more often if they have support in place. Plus, it’s just more fun with a friend!

If you sign up one person (or yourself), we’ll let you offer the detox as a free gift to another person of your choosing.

It’s opportunities like this to come together that truly make all the difference in our ability

to implement a healthy lifestyle that lasts forever.

Be sure to reserve your spot soon!

Your friends,

Green Smoothie Girl Robyn, and Green Smoothie Queen Tera

I love the Green Smoothie Girl concept, but disappointed that it’s going the route of the ‘Green Smoothie Green/Raw Diva’. Robyn is a lifestyle & Tera is more of a ‘quick-fix’ diet. Robyn is more about me (client); Tera is about her. I could listen to Robyn for hours; Tera?….listen to one of her podcasts…you’ll see. But more importantly, both have the same beautiful message..just different deliveries. Robyn, please come back to Dallas!! 🙂

Robyn – Is this detox appropriate for those of us who are breastfeeding? I’ve been wanting to do something like this, but havn’t because I didn’t think I was supposed to while breastfeeding. I’d love to get in on this one.

Elizabeth, I would do it in a slightly modified way–use some cooked, whole plant foods too (legumes, cooked veggies especially). Eating healthy is GREAT for pregnancy and nursing, just don’t do a hardcore cleanse, especially if you’ve been eating the S.A.D. for many years. Because your bloodstream and fluids (which go to the baby) will be flooded with the byproducts of the detox. Plus your calories will be too suppressed.

By hardcore I mean the Arise & Shine program, or a nothing-but-green-smoothies for a month or more….

I’m staring marathon training the same week…but very intersted in the cleanse. Will it give me enough energy to train?

    1. Robyn Openshaw, MSW says:

Erika, I don’t know if that’s the right week for it if the MARATHON is during the cleanse. Training? Sure. You may experience some cleansing reactions, however. About 18% do, in my research.

I am interested in participating in the cleanse, but I have a concern. I have a trip to Hawaii planned the week after it ends. It’s a business trip/retreat and includes lots of meals. While I’ll be able to choose lots of salad, I know I won’t be able to eat the same way I do at home. Nor will I want to! I will want to indulge and enjoy a little more variety. My concern is whether my body will be too sensitive after the cleanse to handle a different diet… one that I don’t have as much control over? Is it the right timing for me?

I signed up. Can’t wait. I didn’t see any place to invite a friend for free. Could you let me know, how I go about doing that? Also, does the prep week start the 2nd, then the 21 day detox after that? And how far in advance are we going to receive the meal plans ( I just need a day or two to get teh shopping done). Thanks so much!

  6. Hey there 🙂

I’m curious about this as well, both personally and as Blendtec 🙂

So personally speaking, are the ingredients readily available? And would a couple of kids be okay eating this way twice a day? We did raw (mostly smoothies) for two meals per day this past summer and they loved it, and I loved it too — we all felt great! But of course it’s a little harder to find fresh fruit this time of year, and it’s also a bit trickier with school in session, so we’ve sort of dropped the ball. Also, they did NOT like kale/lettuce smoothies in spite of everything I tried (granted I never tried stevia I guess.) I had to stick with baby spinach for everything. Will that be okay on your plan? One more thing: my favorite thing about smoothies is that the fast and easy prep/cleanup… I’m assuming this will be simple too?

And now as Blendtec, are you two tweeting about it so we can retweet? And if we were to post something on our facebook fan page, could you answer questions or help us answer questions there?

  7. I want to sign up to, I will be finishing a week of colon cleansing on the 31 ,this friday. I don’t know if it would be a good idea to cleanse more that soon after. I had been doing green smoothies for five weeks straight . Don’t know if that makes a differnce.

  8. Just wanted to clarify the five weeks of morning smoothies was beyond great. I was wondering if that would have prepared me better for the cleanse.

I have been part of the green smoothie 21 day detox & have loved the experience. However, for the past several days I have had no way of accesses my e-mails from greensmoothiequeen. Though I have received my daily journals from the team, I have not been able to access them when I hit on the link. In fact, I have been unable to access anythg referenced greensmoothiequeen. I have tried every possible avenue. Today is the 21st day and I have enjoyed , the log, the lounge, and the web seminars. Tonight is the last one, which I will miss because my access is forbidden. Could someone help me with this issues. Am I the only one experiencing this?

    1. Robyn Openshaw, MSW says:

Dawn, haven’t heard that from anyone, but I am sending your email and comment to the GSQ folks right now.

We’ll get it resolved so you can be on my teleseminar Monday night at 7 pm Mountain Time!
