Send us a photo of your “Green Smoothie Fail!”
I was in a hurry, and last week, picking my son up from school to rush him to our dentist, Dr. Michelle Jorgenson in American Fork, Utah, I dropped my quart of green smoothie. It was all over in the car, as well as the junior high parking lot. In fact, I was late, so I had to take my white jacket and put it in on the seat, so I could sit on it, rather than in a puddle of green goo.
I texted my Green Smoothie Fail to an old high school friend of mine. He wrote back, “Robyn, if that was a steak you were eating, it wouldn’t have made a mess. In fact, you could have just picked it up and continued eating it.”
It’s worth the price, to be healthy. I’ve had blenders full of greens blow up, sky high, in the kitchen, needing a ladder to clean it off the ceiling. And this is hardly the first one I’ve dropped, in the car. I texted this photo to the GSG staff, and Kami wrote me back about her own Green Smoothie Fail:
Her husband was driving, and she was drinking it at a stoplight. He lurched forward and the green goodness ended up all over her face and down her shirt.
I decided not to be grumpy about this particular Fail. When I got my son to his appointment, I went outside in the nice weather, with a bucket and washcloth donated by Dr. Jorgenson’s staff, and my car ended up as clean as the day I bought it. Silver lining! I was wearing yoga pants and a tank top, so I was even dressed for the occasion, and chose to think about how nice and lucky THAT was. Rather than broken glass and my lost lunch and inconvenience. There’s almost always a way to look at something differently and change the energy.
Even if you read this blog months after it’s posted, we want your #GreenSmoothieFail photos! Send them to firstname.lastname@example.org! Then it’s a photo op rather than a disaster!
