Core Body Temperature Study
Sunlighten (2001). This third-party test shows the near-perfect emissivity of Sunlighten's SoloCarbon far infrared heater technology. It raises core body temperature 3 degrees, which is vital to achieving a deep, detoxifying sweat from the cellular level.
Blood, Urine, and Sweat Study: Monitoring and Elimination of Bioaccumulated Toxic Elements
Pubmed (2011). A small study assessed the concentration of 120 toxic compounds in three body fluids, and found many toxic elements appeared to be preferentially excreted through sweat. Included infrared sauna for sweat inducement.

Regular Sauna Bathing and the Incidence of Common Colds
Pubmed (1990). This clinical trial found that regular sauna use likely reduces the incidence of common colds.

The Blood Pressure Study OR A Study of the Health Benefits of Far Infrared Sauna Therapy
UMKC (2005). This clinical study found that far infrared heat temporarily lowers both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. This is the only study done on IR sauna technology on the market vs in a controlled medical environment.
Far Infrared Sauna Use Temporarily Lowers Blood Pressure and Aids in Decreasing Waist Circumference
Canadian Journal of Diabetes (2010). A clinical study over three months found cardiovascular benefits and reduced waist circumference in people with type 2 diabetes with regular infrared sauna use.

Waon therapy improves quality of life as well as cardiac function and exercise capacity in patients with chronic heart failure with chronic heart failure
Pubmed (2015). Study of 49 patients with chronic heart failure who received far infrared sauna and waon therapy daily for 3 weeks showed improvements in mental health, exercise ability and improved cardiac function.

Feasibility and acceptability of a Whole-Body hyperthermia (WBH) protocol
Taylor&Frances (2021). Follow up to 2016 WBH study. This 2019-2020 interventional study used a far infrared sauna dome heated to appx 135°F for up to 110 minutes to achieve core body temp of 101.3°F, with the participant's head outside the sauna and cleared the way for further clinical trial underway 2021-2023.
