Candied Pecans
4 C raw pecans
1/3 C chopped dates, soaked and drained
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/4 C water
1/4 C maple syrup
1/4 tsp. sea salt
1 tsp. rum flavoring or butter
Blend all ingredients except pecans in a high-powered blender until smooth. Pour into a bowl and fold nuts in, stirring to coat. Let nuts sit for 20 min. to absorb the liquid, then stir again. Spread the nuts on baking sheet and bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour.
