How to skin brush

Have you always wanted to know how, exactly, you’re supposed to be skin brushing? Brandi at Oasis of Healing knows the lymphatic system and explained that all to us, resulting in this chart and video. She’s a former E.R. nurse who now does lymphatic drainage therapy fulltime. Dr. Lodi raves about the benefits he sees from this.

You can get that printable skin brushing chart, free–it’s full color!

This is Excellent!! More than I understood. May I incoporate this into a class I teach on the lymphatic system? We cover body brushing, but this is more detailed. Salute!

Hi and a gigantic thank you…as you know giving folks healthy information is the way to help attain healing much easier for all. Agree a diagram of the water sheds with little arrows directing would be great to have to remind one of the “proper” flow ways.

When you are speaking Robyn it was difficult for me to hear you asking the last question of when the best time to do LD brushing would be….before shower in the am is what I presume you said? or before bed …wouldn’t this activate the lymph system to be working during the night? would this interrupt one’s sleep patterns? Again a giant thank you Brandi…& Robyn (of course) 🙂

Before shower or sauna session is a great time. But anytime the skin is dry. I am unaware of any reason it would disrupt sleep, although it seems in the MORNING or at least daytime when you want/need energy, getting lymph flowing is a great idea. I will see if Brandi has a chart, and ask her your question. Sorry about my mic everyone—Kels did not mic me in AZ, and I agree, it’s a problem. We need to take a mic. If i don’t have one I will try to speak up. We only have one mic and we put it on Brandi, which as you can see is a good idea since she is softspoken. I tend to speak softly around people who do!

    Robyn,

Can you recommend any natural therapies for halting the progression/reversing neurodegenerative conditions such as ataxia?

Thanks for this! I skin brush but totally different from this. Is it possible to get a diagram of how to do this? That would be so helpful.

    Thanks!

As always, thank you Robin for bringing us super information for improved health. That was a great video, and I’m grateful to know proper technique for something I’ve been doing for a while now. You continue to rock my world.

I would like a chart of the body with directional arrows showing the brush stroke direction.

and the water shed locations etc.

Robyn – thanks so much for publishing this. I have been experimenting with dry brushing. But I will be more diligent now, as you guys did such a nice job describing the real benefits and the rationale for the process! I really appreciate the specific instructions!!

My question is: Does the brushing differ in the armpit area for a woman who has had her lymph nodes removed? A great reminder for us…my brush has been hanging on the wall for much too long. Thank you Robyn and Brandi.

    Robyn,

This is just what I’ve been looking for. Over on another site I was just asking about dry brushing and didn’t really get much information. This is perfect. Thanks to both you and Brandi. And, like everyone else is saying…I’d love a diagram (I’m going to make my own right now , hopefully I can remember correctly).

Why NOT brush the face? Just curious as I have seen/ read about it being recommended.

Robyn, should the soles of the feet be brushed too?
