The xZubi Neutralizer

The xZubi Neutralizer Your child’s brain is highly susceptible to damaging man-made radiation from his cell phone. He’s also getting exposure from the laptop, PC, TV, and microwave. Your brain is vulnerable, too. But your child’s brain is developing, and highly sensitive, and hard-headed as she may sometimes seem to you, her skull isn’t as [...]

processed meat: it’s on my “never” list

If you’ve read my books, you know there are two foods I never eat and I don’t let my kids eat either. We are virtually 100% about good nutrition at home, but at a party or in a restaurant, we make good choices but aren’t perfect. The two “over my dead body” foods, though: One, [...]

ObamaCare . . . part 2 of 3

Forgive me if you’re not in the U.S. – I’m going to comment on our historic new piece of legislation the media calls ObamaCare. It’s the biggest piece of socialized government ever foisted on the American public, by the most liberal president we’ve ever had. The states are quickly lining up en masse to sue [...]

Dear GSG: Why is the media always telling us one thing and then the opposite about nutrition?

Answer: I know it’s frustrating.   I get this gripe all the time, and some people use it to dismiss all information about nutrition altogether and just eat whatever tastes good: “they don’t know what they’re talking about anyway.” Well, by “they” (first they tell us one thing, then another), we mean science, right?   [...]

Do mammograms cause cancer?

Free radicals (atoms with unpaired electrons) cause cancer. Radiation (grossly simplified) is a massive amount of targeted free radicals used to detect cancer (also CAUSING cancer). This study does not surprise me, and it’s not the first study I have read with the same conclusion: http://news.yahoo.com/s/hsn/20091201/hl_hsn/mammogramsmayboostcancerriskinhighriskwomen

Scuppernong/Muscadine Grapes

Has anyone tried these in a smoothie? After rinsing, I added quite a bit of them to my green smoothie -delicious! I am not sure about posting information from other sites – hope it’s acceptable here. The information below is rather interesting. “The oldest cultivated grapevine in the world is the 400 year old scuppernong [...]

The Healthiest Foods On Earth

One of my favorite nutrition writers is Jonny Bowden.   Hope you enjoy his corroboration of what I’ve been saying all this time, that whole foods are The Answer, not obsessively counting grams of whatever.   This is from Forbes online: The Healthiest Foods On Earth By Jonny Bowden, Ph.D., CNS, is a board-certified nutritionist [...]

Weedy Smoothie

When you’re weeding in your yard or garden, are you keeping the edible ones and tossing them in your smoothie? My GS today is made 100% from volunteer greens: volunteer chard and spinach, greens regrown on beets I overwintered from last year, and . .  . MORNING GLORY and DANDELION. If you don’t know what [...]

should chemotherapy be mandatory for children with cancer?

Five years ago, I wrote editorials that appeared in Utah papers about my  reaction when Parker Jensen, diagnosed by Primary Children’s Hospital with “probably Ewing’s sarcoma” (a rare soft tissue cancer) was being forced into chemotherapy by the sate of Utah against his parents’ objections.   The incestuous group of doctors, social workers, guardians ad [...]

Extra ingredients for green smoothies [part 7 of 9]

Pomegranate juice Pomegranate juice is another very hot product because of a few studies linking it to slowing growth of prostate cancer and arthritis, and reducing breast and skin cancer.   It’s been linked to improvement of several cardiovascular measurements, including thinning the blood and improving blood flow, lowering LDS cholesterol, and increasing HDL (“good”) [...]
