How does BONE BROTH fit in my healthy diet?

The Bone Broth Diet

I’ve sidestepped the raw / vegan debate all these years and watched these fads with a long-range view. Very frankly, I’ve eaten 60%+ raw, and 95%+ vegetarian, vegan for 20 years. Even my recipes tend to be 99% vegan.

I figure you KNOW how to cook meat, but the habit of eating raw plants is a lost art and it’s my job to help you get more of them in your diet!

  1. I’m not at all convinced that CLEAN animal protein can’t be part of a healthy diet. (And I occasionally eat it myself.) Many of the healthiest, most long-living cultures on the planet eat animals (they also eat a lot of greens, fruits, and veggies—and none of them eat a lot of processed foods).
  2. I know lots of healthy vegans, but I also think there’s now a lot of evidence that eating an all raw, vegan diet for the long-term causes dental problems. Although my health overall is excellent, I’ve had some DENTAL trauma that I started writing about a few years ago that has now cost me $30,000! Even though I have always been very friendly to the vegetarian and raw camps, it makes me wonder if something is MISSING.

Enter my friend, Dr. KellyAnn Petrucci. She’s on the BeTheChange Tour with me and 30 other influencers next year! She is the personal doctor of many Hollywood actors and actresses and she’s constantly on TV, including Dr. Oz and The Doctors. She’s JUST released a fantastic new book called Bone Broth Diet. I believe this addition of organic BONE BROTH, if you’re like me and eat mostly plants, gives you that missing collagen and those bone-building minerals to an otherwise healthy, whole-foods diet.

It may just be the missing piece for those of us who eat lots of plants!

Check it out and get your copy. Dr. KellyAnn’s PBS special on this subject just broke all the records. I’m so proud of her and happy to tell you about her book! I’m making this a part of my daily routine now!

  1. You can’t get all these minerals out of the ultimate mineral liquid supplement? Obviously not the collagen, but can’t you get that from plant food as well?

  2. Malee – good question. Robyn, can’t we get all that bone broth is purporting to offer from plants and your ultimate minerals? Please help us more fully understand why bone broth is a good addition to diet.

  3. The most obvious evidence that we are to eat meat, although ‘sparingly,’ is that we have teeth designed for meat eating.

  4. Glad to know you are good with this. Started BB after seeing Dr Kelly on pbs – after 3 weeks my skin is like satin, but I have wondered ‘What would Robyn say?’
