Group buy kicking off soon!
We’ve gotten lots of emails asking about the group buy—thanks for your patience. Watch this blog, and the newsletter, and facebook, for that announcement when we’re ready to take orders. We do this annual buy to save you money stocking your pantry with whole-foods staples. YES, we are shipping this year (U.S. only, so if you’re in Canada, you must pick up, across the border, because we are shipping to U.S. addresses only.)
So get your buying club together and ready, of friends and family interested in good nutrition. The three biggest, most exciting things that are new:
(1) free shipping for orders over 1,000 lbs.,
(2) whole-grain, high-nutrition, non-hybridized pasta added to the buy, and
(3) a new excellent, proprietary protein powder from Sunwarrior featuring cranberry, hemp, and split-pea protein (no Asia sourcing).
You may wish to make an order form of these products now (although we are working on one), and you’re welcome to mark up 5-10% so that, in exchange for your work in managing the order, you may get your own order free! Nuts and seeds being fluctuating commodities, I’m sorry I’m still waiting for prices to drop, so they are marked as TBD in this list:
Whole-grain Einkorn wheat linguini, penne, fusilli (ancient unhybridized grain, best nutrition, organic) (12 / 12-oz. boxes), $30
Extra virgin, organic coconut oil (from Kenya, by female-owned micro-businesses) (3 one-gal. buckets), $144

Hi Robyn, I’m relatively new to your website (been doing the green smoothie/overall better nutrition thing for only a couple of months now) and I am wondering if the group buy only applies to folks in your area. If not, how would I get hooked up with a local group (I’m just outside of Chicago) that is participating in your group buy? Thanks!
Whitney
I have the same question Whitney.
Bonnie, Whitney, at the bottom left of my blog, scroll down and see the Most Popular blog entries. One of them is where tons of people have posted looking for people in their area to participate in the group buy. It’s from last year, but see if anyone on there is from your area. And, I’m going to get the forum up that we put up last year, too—-stand by on that, but it’ll help you find someone in your state, hopefully closer than that!
I am organizing for the Northern Virginia/DC Metro area again this year. Hopefully there will be another discussion board available where people can hook up with organizers. If you are in my area you can contact me to get in on our buy at enjoyyoga@yahoo.com. We had some people from Maryland participate with us last year, and ya’ll are welcome to join us again this year, too! Our order was around 600 pounds last year, so hopefully we will be able to meet the 1,000 pound mark to receive free shipping this year. Shipping to the east coast was steep last year, so this is a great offer!
Danielle
I’m interested too for Tri-cities Washington area. I wouldn’t mind adding to a group order, or heading up our area for other people who want to order too!
Hi Robyn-
You mentioned a while back that you had an actual store that you were hoping by the group buy would be up and going? For those of us that live here in Utah can we come into the store if its up and going and get the same discounted group buy prices or will items in the store be a different price? Will the store be up and going buy the group buy?
Sandy, we decided not to open the store for this year. However, we will have local pickup hours—they will be out of Kristin’s garage, in Lindon. Stand by for more info.
When exactly is “soon”? How soon will this group buy be taking place?
If there isn’t already someone organizing in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I might be able to, depending on the time frame. I didn’t see an organizer for the area in the comments of the 2009 blog. If I missed it, someone let me know.
Thanks!
Anyone around Little Rock, AR interested?
Robyn,
How do we place or order and where is the honey from? (I’m in SLC and just wondering if it’s UT native honey). So excited about the almonds!
We’ll put you into the group buy as soon as all the pages are ready. We’re all working on it fulltime. NEXT WEEK! Honey is from Delta, Utah!
I am in Boise, ID. Any existing groups here? If not I am happy to head something up!
Robyn, what are ormus greens? and I came and listened to you speak in Nampa and couldn’t remember what the handy whole food powder was that you put in your water and where do I get my hands on some?!
I answered my own question on the Ormus greens……:)
I would like to get in on the group buy as well. I really enjoyed meeting you at North Bend
Anyone set up or interested around Indianapolis, Indiana area?
As I am interested in the group buy, I would be willing to head something up also. We are south of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Littleton, CO??
