planning an Idaho / Oregon / Washington / Montana tour
I hope you had a wonderful Independence Day (Americans!). I spent a fabulous evening with 3 aunts who were like mothers to me growing up, some of my favorite people in the world. Saturday I did yoga, Sunday I ran 5 miles, Monday I cycled 20 miles, and this morning I went back to playing tennis with my team, albeit a little gingerly with not much jump-and-rotate in my serve.
I feel awed and thankful that only 12 days after a major accident with significant injuries, I was almost whole. My physical therapist had predicted 2-6 months before I could play sports without pain. (When I seriously turned an ankle last year, he predicted 2 weeks off it and a re-eval, and I was running 2 days later.)
I have to think that years of great nutrition, knowledge of how the body works implemented consistently, and yoga, have a lot to do with a miraculous recovery. Thanks to a dozen of you who wrote suggesting Dr. Christopher Bone and Tissue Formula–that stuff is really amazing.
We are planning an 8-city Pacific Northwest / Montana tour for September 14-21. If you are from any of these areas and can help us, especially locating a place to seat enough people–that is our main problem in scheduling a trip!–please write Amanda@greensmoothiegirl.com. I always make sure those who help us get good stuff in exchange!

I fully expected you would heal in record time, but actually hearing about it is just phenomenal, all the same. Robyn, I’m so glad you got off so ‘easily’ on that ATV adventure. It’s rather scary to think what could have been, and you mean so much to more people than you know. Hubby broke a rib, maybe two, last year, when some friends said they would ‘spot him’ lifting weights – and then didn’t. There are healthy lessons to be learned – regarding foods, AND friends >: ) Choose both categories carefully, folks!
I LOOOVVVE that you’re coming back to Seattle! Have so enjoyed practising what you preach. I’m 52 years old & taking a hot yoga training course (4 weeks- 44+ 90min. sessions of hot yoga. I wouldn’t be able to keep up without green smoothies & lots of raw food. I had the opportunity to share the connection between anti-inflammatory raw foods & flexibility last night during a Yoga Anatomy session with 50 yoga teachers in training. It’s great feeling this wonderful, can’t keep it to myself.
We’re really excited you’re coming to Kennewick! I’d love to help if I can. What kinds of things do you need? I’ll email Amanda too. See you in september
Abby, we would love your help in Kennewick! Email me @ amanda@greensmoothiegirl.com and we can chat about the details.
I’m excited you’re coming back to Seattle. I’ve talked to a few people about green smoothies since hearing you last time and I’m sure they’ll be excited to attend. I’ll have to think about possible venues for ya.
