I’m Looking to Hire a Raw Food Chef / Manager
We’re seriously considering opening a GreenSmoothieGirl Café and Store in Lindon, Utah!
It’d be the local pickup for the group buy, and we’ll have a green smoothie bar (of course!) and a café. We’ll also have everything in the storefront location, and more, that we have in our online store, so locals don’t have to pay for shipping any more.
I need a fulltime manager who has experience with food and a strong interest in whole foods and raw foods. That person will probably manage the retail store as well. Please send an email and resume to kristin@greensmoothiegirl.com.
We hope to have the store open Oct. 1 or sooner, and we’ll announce the location later, but it’s very prominent (on State Street) and we’re excited about all the ways this will make my mission more possible! It will allow us to do classes onsite and expand to have an education lecture series with other author/experts. We want to do a Farmer’s Market in the huge parking lot, be the pickup for local CSA’s (Jacob’s Cove, Bountiful Basket, etc.), and begin to provide many options for healthy food storage with more than just the one group buy each year.
So we’re rolling up our sleeves—we just need someone really great with a lot of energy and some management / restaurant / nutrition background to join us. Please tell any friends you know who might want to join our little team!
How is the dentist staff and the other families you chose doing on their transformations? I have not heard about them in awhile. Are we waiting for them to have time to see changes? Thanks!
Diane, they’re doing so well! I blogged some stuff about two of them, last week I think? The delay is in PRODUCTION–putting the videos together for a TV show takes some effort, but stand by, it’ll be great!
I’m visiting in November so I sure hope your store will be open by then. So exciting.
Oh, and I’d seriously be interested in more thoughts/ideas on natural healing remedies. I’ve been drinking my green smoothies and incorporating more whole and raw foods, since February this year and felt like I was more energized and whatnot, but the last few months have been rough with sickness and allergies on and off. I’m trying local honey, apple cider vinegar, colloidal silver, phytocillin, and my mom is getting me interested in Doterra oils. I am definitely at the point where I’m willing to do what it takes to get back and maintain my health and strength.
Thanks for all the good your doing.
Couldn’t you just move to Orange County? lol I’d love to have that kind of a place here, though we have a lot of good stuff going on here, so I guess it’s okay that you stay over there… But, I just love what you are doing.
I am excited about the news of the store front inLindon…it will be great to have a better location for group buy pick ups and have more stuff available. I am in Davis County, but it would be worth the drive as needed to replentish our supply of raw rood. Hoping you’ll still do classes in Ogden.
Take care and heal quickly!
Dang. It’s my goal to have my own place in 5-7 years specializing in whole grain baking w/ a small whole foods cafe and a smoothie bar. Been in the bakery business for almost 10 years, and whole grain baking and sprouted breads are my passion. Too bad I don’t live in Utah!
I sooooo, wish that I lived there local. I am always thinking about how cool it would be to have a green smoothie place here.
We have smoothie places but they look at me weird when I ask if they have greens to add.
That is soooo exciting! I wish I lived in Utah!!
Same here on the green smoothies in our area, it’s all the packaged concentrated, throw in the water & ice fruit smoothies that are available here and oh yea throw in that scoop of pasturized ice cream. Wow I am feeling weak just thinking about it. Prior to becoming comfortable with preparing my own green smoothies, I asked our local health food cafe’ if they had a green smoothie (wanted to take my boss one for St. Patrick’s day and they told me that you can’t put greens in smoothies they just don’t go together) I was in a hurry and did not have time to explain and really was not that educated yet. Green Smoothies are now very popular in my kitchen! With a husband that does not eat any type greens or any vegtables exept potatoes and home grown corn, he NOW asks for a Green Smoothie everyday. I am very sad were not in your area, I would be jumping on that position. Your making a very good move, enjoy every minute in planning for your new adventure, it will be a blast and so rewarding. Good Luck!
This is so exciting! I’m excited that you’re able to do this, but also excited that I will get to benefit from it!
I would LOVE to see this happen. I would for sure come visit this store.
Okay Robyn, now we all wish we lived in Lindon. Lol We need a GSG Cafe in every city! Guess we need to set up tour buses to flood Lindon. We can put you up on a billboard out here
Cool! That is so amazing! I wish I were there and could be right upfront helping you all with this project. Maybe some day…
I wish there was one in SoCal Orange County, for people who don’t make their own green smoothies for whatever reason.
oh my!! this just made my year!!!! you’ll need to make sure to have some GF options in your cafe okay?!! oh this is just fabulous and a farmer’s market? (will you make sure there is really VEGGIES there and not just crafts
—oo excited!!
