Which of these site headers do you like best? PLEASE VOTE!
So hundreds of you voted, in three different contests I had on facebook, etc., as I looked for the perfect logo to re-brand GreenSmoothieGirl.com.
Here’s the concept I chose, and a few different iterations of the GSG cartoon avatar. I intend to have an animation (cartoon) that shows on the homepage, telling my story.
Meantime, which of these do you like best, #1, #2, or #3? (They’ll all make an appearance somewhere, but one of them will top the homepage.)
Thanks for your feedback–it has been invaluable!

The topmost.
Love #1
Like (a lot) #2
Not some fond #3
#1
I like # 3 – it looks classy. Deb
I like #3
Love # 1 think #2 is just alright don’t care for 3
#3. Sex sells. I know it technically isn’t really “sexual.” I still think the “sexy” looking girl has that same kind of concept.
I vote for #1
1
#1
LOVE #1, but I would change the banner background to green, and do the smaller banner (says Simply, Afford ably, Delicious) in yellow. Wanna see the GREEN POP, not just the thought of words, but the visual too. Simple. Affordable. Delicious. sounds better to me as well. Simple and to the point, period
Number 1 is definitely the winner.
You could use the second one somewhere else perhaps? It’s adorably cute!
I love Nr. 1!!!
#1 for sure.
Number 1 the best but not crazy about any of them.
Love #1…#2 second choice
#1 but need to fix her hair, it’s too messy
I love #1. Great job Robyn, I’m sure this process is nerve racking. Keep up the great work!!
#2….or #1 with a different expression on her face
I like #1 the best. I also don’t think here hair is that messy but I kinda like the slightly messy look!
I like the characters, my favorite is the one sitting on the logo, second is the girl hugging the smoothie. I like that they seem happy and confident. I like the first character, I think most people relate to her, but she lacks the “expert” feel. I don’t like the yellow back ground, it makes it difficult to read any of your sub heading. How about try your sitting #3 character in the purple circle, and different background color, or bolder print or font. I think a few tweaks will make it more balanced and easier to read.
Hi. I find it hard to read the slanty writing but if these are going to top banners taking up the whole top of the page (ie. bigger than shown here), then I like the first one showing all the veggies being tossed. Good luck!
#2 made me think she was hugging a fish?
I like #1 the best
#1 is great with the veggies. LOVE it! I like the girl, but the particular face/hair is not quite right (looks like Bewitched when she twinkled her nose).
#2 looks a little silly – I can’t relate – and it does look like a cocktail, albeit a green one.
#3 – the slinky body is a big turnoff to me.
I hate to say this..but, I do not care for any of them either….sorry.
#2. the woman seems to fit your personality!
#1 … shows the fruits and veggies…
I have to say that #1 is the one I like the best.
I read a LOT of blogs and have a good eye for design/art, I’m also 25-just so you know what demographic I come from. That being said, I really don’t think animation is the way to go. I have seen an increase in cartoon headers in the past year, but they don’t seem to add anything to the blog. They just tend to look cheesy/fake/immature and date the look of blogs. It also seems like these animated headers are big for bloggers because they just want to see themselves in cartoon maybe? lol
I know I don’t know anything about you, but from your videos and the class I came to of yours (which I LOVED!) you seem more engaging/serious/cool, not cheesy/peppy/bubbly which is the vibe the cartoons give.
I would recommend a header with a simple/**STYLISH**/dynamic font (emphasis on stylish cause avatars ain’t stylin girl) or add a professional photograph of beautiful veggies and fruits. Look at the branding for popular clothing or food companies, they don’t need cartoons to help people know what they’re about! YOOUUUU are MUCH more interesting/beautiful/intriguing than any avatar could be. You should be the face of your company. One trend in blogging that I’m sure won’t fade is having good photographs on your blog. it takes work, but you could do it! people want to SEE what you’re up to, what your green smoothie looks like, who stopped you to talk about g.s., what you looked like walking out the door with your smoothie, your perfect or imperfect house, etc. these my friend, are the things that connect readers to you.
It seems like it’s much to late to sway your opinion, but I just had to try!
My advice would be to get a new graphic designer ASAP!!!! and find one that doesn’t design blogs for other health food bloggers so you don’t get a pre-used look, which is what it looks like you got to me.
Kalli, very interesting comments….thanks. I am actually trying to get AWAY from so many photos of me. First of all, it’s a treadmill I don’t want to be on, for the future. Second, I want GSG to be more universal…it’s about everyone who wants to get healthy, not “me” per se. So, while some told me that I need to “Dr Oz” or “Andrew Weil” myself and put my face all over everything…..at the end of the day it’s not what I want. If that makes any sense. So I wanted something fun that’s more universal…..the cartoon avatar isn’t supposed to be me in any literal way. It’s just supposed to represent all of us. Healthy, fun, dynamic.
I like #1 the best…like all the fruits and veg. I think #2 is really cute and you could use it with articles or tips or something, but too cutesy for your main logo.
#1 works the best for me…like the fruits and veg.
Keep #2 for a “special” graphic on article or tips of the day or something. It’s really cute and had a joy about it, but it’s a little too cute for a main logo.
MIDDLE ONE!~
The joy in her face and the sparkles coming off the green juice is awesome…
number 3 is the best
I’m with Dr. Denise and several others, I don’t care for any of the new logos. I love the bright colored pictures of vegetables and smoothies that you have on your site right now. As an older middle ager, I’m not at all attracted to the avatar look, but rather turned off by them. I much prefer to see the real thing. I understand your desire to take your picture off, so maybe you can start including pictures of other “green smoothie people”–regular folks who have changed their lives and the lives of their families or friends. Just an idea!!
The first one is my favorite.
The SECOND one is the cutest..
I much prefer the header that is already on your home page. Real food. Real smoothies. No person(s).
I do not like the yellow banners at all. So my vote is None. Leave it as it is.
#1
That’s the best one, but none are quite right…
#1 for sure! Two is great and I definitely think should appear somewhere, but far and away #1 wins for site header! Totally awesome!

I don’t care for the yellow at all.
I can’t relate to any of the girls in the photos, sorry.
But I do love your site
I like number 1 best. I think is is fun without being so silly/cutesy. I also agree on changing the line to “Simple. Affordable. Delicious.” without all the “ly”s. I also understand the desire to have the blog have less personal photos.
