Hi Robyn! I just signed up for the DeTox! I bought the 12 Steps almost a month ago. I’ve been drinking a lot of Green Smoothies and there are days that I feel great, but some days I have really bad headaches and a lot of sadness. I’m assuming that it has to do with the smoothies. I’m not eating very much “food” and am disappointed that I’ve not lost weight. Loosing weight isn’t my primary focus in drinking the Green Smoothies, but I would like to be singing that tune along with the smoother skin and extra energy!! I am hoping that the info and experience of doing the DeTox, will help shed some light on the above concerns.

Debbie, hang in there. If you’re putting lower-calorie quarts of green smoothie in your diet, and higher-calorie foods are being bumped out, the first reason I’d examine for WHY would be a hypothyroid issue that will require a full blood panel workup at a bioidentical hormone-specializing clinic. And of course, a good cleanse/detox! Glad to have you with us. Detoxing can certainly affect your mood. Many have theorized that emotions are trapped in proteins, and as those proteins are released from the body, we “feel” all those trapped emotions. The good news can be, however, that they are released and blockages removed. Don’t quit your new good habits. See you soon on the webinars and in Sandy!!

I have been doing green smoothies for over a year now. The last 3 weeks i have gone more raw. More like 80-90 % now. Im not doing any meat or dairy except I’ve had fish once. And a little dairy in pancakes that I cook for my family every sunday. It seems I need a little extra calories eating this way. Like 3-500 more. Is that normal? I’m having my green smoothie for b-fast and maybe a pc of fruit then a salad for lunch and then raw granola for dinner. And maybe a snack of hummus and flax crackers before dinner and some kind of snack before bed. I just feel like I need to eat more. I’m not gaining any weight tho. Does this sound normal to you? I’ve given up a lot of my bad habits but I cant seem to give up my daliy coffe habit and my 2-3 times a week i will have a couple of glasses of wine… Do you have any thoughts for me?
Hi Jennifer, I can’t tell if you’re wanting to gain or lose weight….not really sure what the goal is.
Neither…was wondering if this is normal? To need or want more calories while eating more raw?
