This weekend, Good Earth in Utah is hosting a book-launch party for The Adventures of Junk Food Dude. I’d like to meet your children and read them the story.
We’ll have free green smoothie samples, and a sticker they can wear that says, “I’M A GREEN SMOOTHIE GUY” or “I’M A GREEN SMOOTHIE GIRL.” If you want a book, I’ll sign it for your child, of course.
Parents need third-party validation of principles of good nutrition. Teach them now, while they’re young, before they get older and other voices may get more attention than parents do!
(I have a high-school junior whose sports classes, taught by folks who’ve bought into current fads and false doctrines, are pushing the myth that it’s good to maximize protein with lots of animal products and refined-food protein powders and bars. Fact: carbs, fats, and proteins are all good and necessary in their natural forms–and they’re found in perfect ratios when your diet is close to the dirt.)
Please come by with the kids (no need to RSVP), and I’ll be thrilled to be the seal of approval on your efforts to tell your kids how important it is to eat lots of veggies and fruits.
