Is that free range eggs?
What is the brand?
I’m only aware of the store brand & Egglands Best.
Thanks for your tip : )
You can get them at Costco as well. Thanks!
These designations are often useless. For example, “free range” eggs can be from chickens packed into buildings with concrete floors. The only difference is that the building has a small cut-out leading to a 1′x10′ space outside — none of the chickens ever actually go out. They *could* be truly free-range eggs, but it’s more likely that they’re not.
Yeah, if they’re organic and free range, it means a little more to me…..but Katie is right that some shoddy companies are co-opting those terms. Look around your community and see if you can find someone who has chickens who run around in the dirt and eat nothing but seed. I have a neighbor two blocks away who fits that bill, so on the rare occasion I buy eggs, I but them from her.

@Jessie, thanks, great info!
IF you are looking for organic eggs in the NY area, my aunt and her partner own Roo Haven Farm and they sell their goods at the Fredonia Farmer’s Market June-October. http://www.roohavenfarm.com (It’s too bad I am on the opposite end of the country. I would love to get their eggs!)
