cool (even COLD!) gift idea — locals only
Even in the cold, the GreenSmoothieGirl bars in Roxberry (American Fork & Lehi) are doing great, with another few hundred served in November.
An 18-month old customer comes in every day because she screams that she wants her “gween smoodie” to her mother, when they drive by!
Holly says to let you know that through Christmas Eve, you can buy 5 get one free, or buy 10 get three free!
Great gift or stocking stuffer for someone you know who wants to be healthy.
When I read this, I had to take my husband over to Roxberry to try it. It was very good. I am so glad you are doing this. We usually make our own, but this is a tasty way to introduce even more people to it.
HI Robyn,
My 30# of chopped dates from the group buy arrived this week. THANK YOU for all the effort you and everyone else put into the group buy. Looking forward to starting the Pink Breakfast Smoothies to complement all the green smoothies we’ve been drinking.
Any suggestions for storing all of these dates? I’m thinking freeze some, refrigerate some, and room-temperature storage of the rest (maybe 60F basement storage). A quick on-line search did not yield much. How long do they typically last in storage.
RJ, that’s exactly what I do. I don’t know how long they will last on the shelf, but I’ve never had them go bad. In the hot summer, I did once have some that had been in a Ziploc gallon freezer bag get those food moths in it after about a year. They don’t go bad quickly, but maybe put yours on the shelf in quart jars instead.
YAY!!! I JUST sent my husband to Roxberry to “partake” in some GSG (green smoothie glory) because we are moving to that area and he is already working down there, and living with some wonderful people (just not so wonderful health habits) so I feel SOOOOOO relieved to know that he is getting his 15 a day! That is the BEST!!!! Rock on for Roxberry!!!
Oh, and OF COURSE green smoothies!!!!!
I wish we had one in Provo!!!!!
