here’s why this year’s group buy should be so much better than last’s
So Oct. 25 we plan to kick off the group buy, watch here for the official announcement. It will end Nov. 30. We learned a lot last year and have lots of improvements.
- We will have product on hand so that we can ship within a week. Arriving to you within two weeks. No waiting for a month or more while we gather orders and THEN place orders with vendors, etc. (Orders over 800 lbs. may take a bit longer.)
- We were in a shopping cart that didn’t work well for shipping products. Now we have a better one. No more accidentally sending to the billing address, etc.
- Utah residents will pay only 3% tax on food. (We couldn’t figure out how last year. It will show up as S&H rather than tax.)
- You’ll be charged the actual amount of what FedEx Ground costs–instead of the three graduated tiers like last year. (That was kind of clunky and those on the West Coast overpaid.)
- We might ship to Canada–100 lb. orders of raw almonds only–will announce this later if we can pull it off. You have to deal with any taxes/fees from Customs, on your end, Canadians. Not very expensive to ship Western and Central Canada, pretty pricey to ship to the East Coast.
- We have some cool new products. Like Sun Drenchers all-raw, vegan salad dressings, which blow my mind, 3-year shelf life. Like 4-oz. tubes of no-fluoride, no-sulfates natural toothpaste for $1.25/tube–less than the cheapest grocery store brands! (While supplies last.) Like 4 of our Massage XPIII units (I love mine on an airplane or while I work at my PC) for $40 off, per unit. And more . . .
- Your minimum is 50 lbs. of almonds rather than 100 lbs.
8. Rex isn’t working for us any more. Enough said if you had to deal with him last year.
And forms for you to collect orders from your network and get your own high-nutrition pantry items free, are HERE.
Is there any way to get an estimate on shipping? Fedex’s site requires a lot of details about the shipment to give a rate….
Lori, you’d have to place an order and then just not place it once the shipping appears.
I would like to order several gallons of colloidal silver from you because I have been taking 3-4 tablespoons dailly for years to keep the viral count down on my Hepatitus C. I contracted Hep C with the birth of my first baby50 years ago . It is the non treatable strain, I am now 70 years old and still in good health. It dropped my hep c viral count from 2 million to 250. I have appreciated your recipies and health hints. I live in Saratoga Springs, UT. I would love to purchase my silver from you. I would , however need to know that the quality of your silver is safe & will not turn my skin blue ARGYRIA) since I take so much. I just want to be sure.
I have been purchaing my coloidal silver from _Colloids For Life LLC and the silver is called Mesosilver & for years and I have not turned blue. I have to pay $200.00 per gallon and now that I am on Social Security it is getting too expensive for me. Please let my know about your parts per million & safety. I would really like to order from you.
Shirley, argyria tends to happen when you drink it by the cupful. I recommend you take a Tbsp. 3x a day when you feel an illness coming on. It is 20 ppm. That’s all I can tell you. It’s for locals only (pickup orders).
what time today?
If we are local, we can pick up from your house for no fee, correct?
Not my house anymore. You’ll get a notification of where to pick up, and because I have to pay the fulfillment co. (west Lindon), there’s a $7.95 fee.
chia seeds has the same buying link as flax seed. is the chia grown without pesticides? which coconut oil brand is this?
Glory Bee coconut oil. Hmm, you’re the second one to tell us about the chia / flax thing but we can’t duplicate the problem. Thank you. Will look into it again.
can we order if we arent in a co-op?
Anissa, anyone can order.
Hi Robyn,
Could you provide the name of the CA rancher so that if I live close enough (Orange County), maybe I can try to contact them myself and pick it up directly?
Thanks
K.L., at the rancher’s request, no can do, sorry.
Thanks anyway Robyn. Hopefully I will be in a better position financially next year to buy the almonds and a whole lot more. Unfortunately I can’t even afford the minimum right now. Oh well…
Hi Robyn,
Just to clarify, the shipping rates for the raw almonds are as calculated in the online store, right? Is there a cost savings for putting in larger orders? The shipping seems to be the same (to WA) at 56 cents per pound regardless of quantity versus last years’ 25 cents per pound if we were over 1000 pounds. Am I missing something?
Thanks,
Darlene
Yes Darlene, if you see the FAQ, you’ll want to contact us to arrange truck shipping and get you a rebate for orders 800 lbs. or over. We should be able to get you better than that. FAQ under Group Buy tab. Talk to Jenni at support123@greensmoothiegirl.com.
Can we participate from Australia? I’d really like to get some agave and Sun Drenchers.
Robyn,
I tried the variety pack of Sun Drenchers. They were great and I see they are in the group buy. Would a case of variety packs be available? It appears to me that only cases of single variety is available.
ROC, let me check that. I thought we DID have variety pack cases.
Can they be shipped directly from the grower? Last year I was able to get a lot more almonds for less than this year. With the shipping this year it raises the price and a lot of people I’ve talked with can’t get them. Seems like it was much cheaper to have them shipped directly from the grower.
Can’t do that, wish I could. I don’t know if I will do the group buy again because it’s a breakeven thing with lots of headaches–and almonds prices are higher across the board this year. Wish we could do better than that.
Robyn,
I can not post to the group buy forum anymore. I have tried to reset my password for over a week and the link in the e-mail I receive each time when I try to reset it will not let me. Help!!! username haroldcook
I am having Chris look into that, Harold. I’m sorry.
Oh….thank you Robyn for putting the group buy together…I know it must be a big hassle.
Yes the price of everything is going up. Very discouraging for us trying to eat right. I don’t know of any other place I can get raw almonds around here. Because the price went up, the people who bought with me last year aren’t going to be able to this time. I really hate to go back to the pasteurized almonds!
I wish I could control almond prices. It’s a commodity. Some of the items, though, the price went DOWN. About half are the same. A few are up. And some items are new and we have great prices.
Can we participate from Australia? Would the shipping be prohibitive?
Cost would be prohibitive, Heidi, so we aren’t shipping out of the U.S.
Hope the forum will be working soon!
Trying to put my group order in – on the group buy page the Shredded Coconut is listed as $41.50 for 25 lbs. When you go to order it, the cost is $47.50. I have already collected the $$ from people (not making a profit, just doing a favor). What do I do about the $6 difference? Please help!
Robyn,
I’m having a hard time picturing what 50 lbs of almonds looks like… any idea how many gallon size ziploc bags that would be? Will help in my purchasing! Thanks…
Hi, Robyn,
I placed my order today, but left off a few items! I emailed the support email and am waiting to hear back. Can I add a few items without ordering more almonds? I already ordered 3 cases
Hi Brenna, I am not sure! Jenni handles all the systems and can tell you.
Also, Patti, 50 lbs is 10 gallon bags. This will be my 3rd year bagging them up!
Hi Robyn,
I need HELP with the group buy ordering. I have my orders in and am having trouble putting my order in with you. Can I do it online? Or do I have to send it in snail mail?
Thanks for your help.
