I love it! The art by Lori Sume is awesome!
When I first glanced at JFD, he looked like a baby nursing a pacifier.
I’m excited about your endeavor!
DeAndra
I think the text needs to be bigger, especially the title, but other than that it’s great! I especially like the contrast between the two kids
the text will be bigger. the book is 9″ x 12″ in size.
And Suzn, thanks!
Love it, Robyn! I can’t wait to buy the book to read to my DS.
Yes I kind of agree with the pacifier comment. I like the contrast between the two kids, however maybe something different than the donut??
Love green smoothie boy!!! JFD needs a diffent pose, maybe sitting upright more, you’d still be able to notice is lack of health.
Robyn – sorry – off topic – but just wanted to let you know I am eagerly awaiting my first gallon of coconut oil from Mountain Rose Herb Co. and to say thanks for all the time you have put into researching products and prices. I could have spent hours on line, and still not been confident in my choice, but with GSG, this sort of thing is a no brainer. If I understand right, you’ve mentioned it’s ability to reverse sun damage. Twice as an adult I have had sun damage burned off my face by a dermatologist – not crazy about that process. Some new spots have just now shown up on my forehead. My thinking is, I’m going to rub some coconut oil into them for awhile and just see what happens. Is that right? If so, how long do I wait til I say ‘Hmmm…nothing seems to be happening’? Is it weeks, months?
Another thing, though – even without the coconut oil – after months of greensmoothies, my skin is in the best shape it’s ever been. Make up goes on so much better, and I’m using much less of it, because I just don’t need as much to have ‘a good face day’. Thanks for all you do!
MGM, me too! (My skin looked phenomenally better after using coconut oil.) But I can’t promise you a cure for pre-cancers. Worth a try though! I had two precancers once, on my face, and they went away after two YEARS. (By themselves. Good nutrition probably the reason. Nourish the immune system, always a great idea.)
Sorry that news isn’t better.
I should post something ON topic
I like the telling, physical postures of both characters. The junk food eater is all hunched into himself, conveying secretive, unconfident behaviour. The healthy eater is in a welcoming, expansive and condifent postures (albeit hanging upside down!) With no words, those two figures convey a lot – which frame of mind would you rather see your child in?
that would be ‘confident’
I think it is great! And the greatest part is what you are doing! Thank you Robin! We are Weatherford, Texans cheering you on! I have some great photos I wish I could send to you but have no way of doing it. I have a sixteen month baby who drinks green smoothies like crazy. I have shots of her drinking up every last drop in her cup. And some shots of my little three year old cowboy guzzling it up too! I really think you want these photos. If I can send them your way, please contact me and let me know some how!
I guess you need my email, kasciaw@yahoo.com I hope you’ll get in touch with me!
Anyone who wants to, including you Kascia, can write us at support123@greensmooothiegirl.com, with your children’s “green smoothie mustache” photos, and a paragraph about your experience with GS, and we’ll run it here on the blog! XOXO,
Robyn
Good to know, Robyn, thanks – instinct was telling me it would take longer rather shorter to have an effect, but I’ll give it a try. Thank the Lord above your son is alright, by the way! Scary, those car crashes – good work on the seat belt issue!
