More pages for The Adventures of Junk Food Dude
Here’s the latest installment of illustrated pages (by Lori Sume) for The Adventures of Junk Food Dude. Thanks for the emails through the site, from those who are reading each installment to your kids. I loved it when Holly brought her 10-year old son over at my daughter’s soccer game–she’d read the pages to him. All feedback is helpful. Those of you who thought the first pages were too “achievement” oriented, I am going to address that. But I wonder if you feel somewhat differently as the story goes along . . . PLMK!

“Cantalope” should be spelled “cantaloupe”. I’m so glad there is going to be a book out there for kids about wholesome, raw eating!
I knew someone would catch that misspelling of cantaloupe. Yes, Lori had that changed but this page was already posted. Thanks Nicky!
Last page on this site should be “That”s why he…. instead of “That’s why we…… When will book be out?
Christa, good snag! That one I had not seen, thank you!
We hope to get the book out for Christmas, but I can’t really control that or guarantee it just yet.
I love your book idea! It’s so difficult to find good books that teach children the TRUTH about nutrition (and not just the official mis-information that is everywhere).
I tell about green smoothies everyone who wants to listen, lol. Most people are very interested in the idea and want to try them, but are skeptical about giving them to their kids – “my kid will not eat any green stuff”, etc. Well, my son loves them, and I wish they served them in schools (instead of chocolate milk).
Can’t wait to own a copy for myself and for my office!!
I love this book. I got swept up from the beginning because I became worried about Junk Food Dude.
