Aug. 15 is International Green Smoothie Day!

Hello my friends,

I’m off to Europe with my family tomorrow for 18 days: Italy, Spain, and France, and hopefully a one-day adventure in Serbia/Croatia.   I’ll miss y’all, but you won’t miss me, because my assistant Steff will be posting blog entries I wrote, the whole time!   And maybe I’ll miss you so much that I’ll get online and comment a few times while I’m there.

And, please celebrate INTERNATIONAL GREEN SMOOTHIE DAY on August 15 with me–if I can do it in Paris, you can do it, too!   (I know, it’s a rough life, but someone’s got to live it!).

Much love,

Robyn

Just found you and I started green smoothies the same day. Been having them for 5 days and I love them. I did have some trepedation with all the greens, but it works! I feel great. Even my puny blender manages it with a little patience on my part! Thanks for a great site.

    Robyn,

I just received the information on the Utah schools junk food. You mentioned that we are teaching one thing in health class and then doing another when we sale junk food in the halls. Something that alarmed me in our Jr. High was when the morbidly obese Health teacher told the students they could bring a healthy snack to class–something like friut snacks!! She also explained that as long as you felt okay about your weight, it didn’t matter if you were obese! I complained about the situation and the response was that other parents had mentioned the problem as well, but the teacher really was a good teacher. My intention is not to get her fired, but maybe reassigned to a different class. My children would have learned some pretty poor habits had I not intercepted!

    Robyn,

I leave for Ireland in 10 days (for 13days) and need input on how to do the whole travel and raw/smoothie thing with the unknown availability of raw foods and access to them. Any input you have will be greatly appreciated!!!!
